MRI – RIGHT KNEE (PLAIN) RADIOLOGY REPORT

Protocol: Multiplanar multisequence MRI of knee has been performed. 


FINDINGS:

Femoral condyles and intercondylar area show normal morphology. 

Tibial condyles and intercondylar area show normal morphology. 

Few osteophytes are noted arising from femoral and tibial condylar margins.

Femoro-tibial compartment articular cartilage appears normal. 

Joint space is normal. Mild joint effusion seen. 

Medial meniscus shows normal size, contour, outline and signals. Its roots appears intact. 

Lateral meniscus shows normal size, contour, outline and signals. Its roots appears intact. 

Anterior cruciate ligament appears intact. It shows normal outline and signal intensity. Its upper and lower attachments are normal. 

Posterior cruciate ligament appears intact. It shows normal outline and signal intensity. Its upper and lower attachments are normal. 

Medial collateral ligament appears intact. It shows normal outline and signal intensity. Its upper and lower attachments are normal. 

Lateral collateral ligament appears intact. It shows normal outline and signal intensity. Its upper attachment is normal. Lower attachment along with biceps femoris tendon is normal. 

Patella shows wiberg type-3 morphology. 

Femoral trochlear groove is normal in shape and contour. 

Patello-femoral articulation congruity is normal. Articular cartilage is normal.

Medial and lateral patellar retinaculae shows normal outline and signal intensity. Their attachments are normal. 

Quadriceps tendon is normal. Patellar tendon is normal.

Fibular head show normal morphology. Superior tibio-fibular articulation is normal. 

Posterior joint capsule appears intact. 

Popliteal fossa appears normal. Popliteal vessels are normal. 

Popliteus tendon and muscle to the visualised extent are normal.  

Pes Anserinus tendons to the visualised extent appears normal. 

Semimebranosus tendon to the visualised extent appears normal. 

Other muscles and tendons in the visualised sections are normal. 

IMPRESSION:

Osteoarthritis of right knee.

Mild joint effusion.
