X-Ray Intravenous Pyelogram (IVP) Radiology Report

X-RAY INTRAVENOUS PYELOGRAM (IVP)

On Plain Film: 

Bilateral renal and psoas shadows are normally seen.

A radiopaque shadow ms 11.6mm is seen in region of right renal fossa at level of L2-3 disc 

On post contrast scan:

Right kidney: normal in size, shape, location and contrast opacification. Radioopaque shadow is seen in pelvis of right kidney with grade 2 to 3 hydronephrosis.

Left kidney: Normal in size, shape, location and contrast opacification. Pelvicalyceal system is normally visualized with no evidence of hydronephrosis. No calculus seen.

Bilateral ureters: Normal in course, caliber and contrast opacification. No calculus seen in course of bilateral ureters.

Urinary Bladder is well distended. No calculus is noted in the lumen. No obvious masses or extrinsic compression noted. 

PVRU: insignificant

IMPRESSION:

Normally functioning bilateral kidneys as described

Obstructive calculus in right renal pelvis with grade 2 to 3 hydronephrosis 

Suggested: Clinical correlation.
